Casual winter outfits for staying fashionably warm can be hard to put together. I have received so many messages about this topic and people always mention the “sweater and jeans dead end.” A shortcut to getting dressed in the winter is having a set of sweaters and jeans on constant rotation (many people get stuck here!). This gets boring after a while but it doesn’t have to be! I am wearing a sweater and jeans right now but I made it interesting by layering and adding accessories. There is also so much more you can do in the winter besides just that and I am going to share with you some of my favorites.
I used to get a serious case of seasonal depression in the winter. One of the ways that I am able to avoid the winter blues is by dressing the part. Wearing something exciting or fashionable helps me be happy because I feel confident about how I look and feel. Spending a few extra minutes in the morning on myself really helps me enjoy the rest of the day. I take over an hour sometimes to get ready because I am looking over all of my outfit options but it is totally worth it. That extra time with myself in the morning really makes a difference in my day. Nothing is worse than passing a mirror and realizing you don’t look like the person you are working hard to become. Finding ways to get creative with what you already own is a great way to keep good vibes following you even during the darkest season.
In the winter, it can seem like there is way less you can do with your outfits. The truth is that there is so much more. More layers, more accessories and way more fun! I always have the hardest time when making posts like this not to buy every single thing that I recommend. My closet would be filled to the brim and my bank account would be at $-1,000.
