The idea of having a pink velvet sofa is pretty wild when you think of it. Investing in trendy furniture isn’t always easy with the fear that it will lose importance a few years down the line. However, I think that finding interesting pieces like this can really brighten up any living space as well as creating an outlet for creative development. That is why I have decided to start writing about a few great statement furniture items for a trendier setup. I am beyond ready to find and furnish my own permanent apartment in New York and I am on the hunt for the craziest items to join along on the journey with me.
A big trend right now on social media is office furniture. This is a really great place to get moving out of your comfort zone since the design can be related to the brand or company that you work for. Office furniture inspiration is actually what led me to discover possibilities of pink velvet sofas. I came across this photo of one of my inspirations, Chiara Ferragni of course, visiting her new “The Blonde Salad” office. While most eyes might look at her outfit and continue scrolling, I came to a complete halt. The pink velvet sofa she is sitting on is absolutely amazing. I suddenly felt like I needed one of my own.
Pink interior design options are really trendy right now as an aftermath of the millennial pink era that is still going strong on social media. This week, Glossier opened up their Los Angeles store and literally everything from the walls to the employees was painted in millennial pink. The trend is causing an overwhelmingly amount of pink furniture options. As a kid, we all wanted to look and live just like Barbie and now we can by adding a few pink accessories to our day-to-die life. They’ll just be a bit bigger than a pink handbag in this case. While I am completely ready to paint all of my walls and belongings pink, I am going to have to start with my favorite pink furniture piece; the pink velvet sofa.

Not Ready to Fully Commit?
There are temporary options! I have found some great affordable cover-up items for sofas that can be used to get the pink velvet couch look over your regular couch. I am currently in between two apartments that already came furnished so I have less control over the aesthetics of my living situation but I am thinking of picking up on of these items and using it next semester to add a personal touch to my living space.

You can’t bring in the new pink velvet sofa without finding some friends to keep it company. I love when rooms have a general theme that brings together the pieces in it and that is what could happen for you if you add more pink velvet in. That is why I have decided to also round-up some other pink velvet items for you. These are a more affordable option if you aren’t quite ready to invest so much into a statement couch. There are so many amazing options out there that fit this furniture niche but pink velvet sofas are definitely my favorite. I really can’t wait until I have more control over the furniture that I have in my space and this is something I am definitely interested in adding to my future space. In the meantime, I am definitely going to look into the chair and pillowcase options for my place. Such an easy way to get a quick fix to the pink velvet interior trend.
