My Quarantine Wishlist

Before I get into my quarantine wishlist, I want to send my love and prayers to everyone who has been negatively affected by the current COVID-19/coronavirus situation. Everyone please stay inside as much as possible so we can be free very soon!

No one expected the COVID situation to become as serious as it has.

I remember hearing regularly about coronavirus in January and so began protecting myself early on. This started with increased immunity support and face masks. I eventually left New York City as early as possible to avoid spreading the illness to others. With nothing but a carry-on suitcase, I expected to return to the city within two weeks of my departure. This situation definitely caught me off guard which left me unprepared at home for the self-quarantine weeks to come. Here is my dream stay-at-home wishlist with everything I think is necessary during this crazy difficult time!

SKINCARE

If only I knew to bring my entire skincare collection! That is definitely a mistake I am seriously regretting right now. I only brought a handful of products and left behind some of my all-time favorites. For the things that I remembered to bring (and was able to order on Amazon), expect a story to come soon on the wellness and skincare items that are helping me survive self-quarantine. In my quarantine wishlist now: hydrating face masks, depuffing eye creams, and an extra dose of a highly potent serum.

LOUNGEWEAR

While I was smart enough to bring comfortable stay-at-home clothing with me, I still managed to do my packing for this trip poorly. I packed heels and a dress anticipating that this would clear up soon and evenings out would resume. It became evident quickly that quarantine had already begun at home so I never got the opportunity to dress up. In between the rare occasions in which I decide to dress in my usual clothing, here are some dream items I’ve added to my quarantine wishlist. Loungewear that I am hearting mainly comes from Revolve, Amazon (particularly this set), and, for something more luxe, Cotton Citizen.

ACTIVEWEAR

This was an active look I wore before this crisis began. Please continue to stay home!

So, I only brought maybe 3 exercise pieces with me because… yeah I just wasn’t thinking. I’ve been trying to remain as active as possible in quarantine but I’m certainly not dressed for the part this time around. There have been a lot of great sales at stores like Bandier and Carbon38 and it’s definitely great to see everyone finding new ways to exercise. It’s also been a great way to try something new at home and sample new routines. Some of my quintessential workout brands that will be useful both during and after this pandemic include Set Active, Alo Yoga and Lululemon.

BLUE LIGHT GLASSES

This is actually something I remembered to bring to my self-quarantine, but I couldn’t leave it out! I wear blue light glasses every day at work and they really help me. My eyes get tired from looking at blue light all day and now with being at home, I am exposed to blue light for even longer hours. Especially when watching TV or Facetiming before bed, this is definitely the hack that will help regulate your sleep cycle. Trust me, you need these glasses to help you manage increased screen time. Add everything from The Book Club to your wishlist.

Everyone please continue staying inside as much as possible! Hearing that we are flattening the curve has been great news. But it’s important to remember that it means we have to keep doing exactly what we are doing. Now more than ever am I extremely grateful for my health, the little things, and every blessing I have. I am manifesting that we will be able to return to somewhat normalcy in May and it is definitely possible if we all do our part. Stay safe all!
