The Spring Accessories That Will Get You Ready For Summer

One look at my Instagram, will tell you that I am really loving plaid right now. This is pretty ironic because I hated the middle-school uniform I was forced to wear. I wore this look on one of the first days of spring and layering the hoodie made it perfect for the weather that day. The outfit that I styled ended up being pretty extra but the spring accessories still held their own in this look. They are all black meaning that they can easily be paired with any outfit you put together this season. At the same time, they are trendy enough to still make a statement. I have recently gotten my hands these three spring accessories and I just can’t get enough of them.

Combat Boots

These shoes might be the reason I face planted the other night at my formal but that isn’t going to be the end of my love affair with them. They are pretty comfortable for a shoe with a 5-inch heel and they make every outfit I wear look so much cooler. I picked these up during the Zara sale over the summer and did not end up wearing them until about 6 months later. Who knew they’d end up being one of the spring accessories I would find myself wearing most. Once I started, I couldn’t stop and they have been one of my go-to pairs of shoes since then.

Small Cat Eye Sunnies

I have been obsessed with this trend for so long! I can’t stop laughing about the episode of the Kardashians when Kanye emailed Kim that wearing big sunglasses is officially overrated and we all need to get into this trend. The only time I could relate more to a statement by Kanye West was when he said “single black female addicted to retail.” Anyways, I feel like the pioneer of this trend has really been Bella Hadid. The ones I ended up wearing are modeled after the extremely popular Le Specs x Adam Selman. They are such an effortless way to get the small sunglasses look. Ask anyone who’s into fashion and they will tell you that these are the spring accessories you will need to have to welcome in the sunshine.

Short-Strap Crossbody

When I saw this trend on the runway, I thought it was cool but never thought I would be actually end up wearing it. This bag was a spontaneous purchase from Naked Vice that I haven’t been able to put down since it showed up at my door. The straps on bags like this are always adjustable giving you the option to wear it at the normal bag length as well. This makes it easy to switch up your bag look. When your bag is worn with the short strap it becomes a complete part of your entire outfit. I love this trend because it makes a bag stand out from my collection of spring accessories to an integrated part of your look.
