2 YEAR BLOGGING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!

2 years of blogging has taught me a lot of lessons. After revisiting the blog post I did for my 1 year anniversary for Style in the Way, I don’t think I can ever top it but I am so thankful for the year that followed. I’m celebrating this special day in London where I will be living until May. This past year has created a better Style in the Way than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful for the events, brands, and new people I have had the opportunity to work with and I want to share with you the highlights of the year!

This still might be my best photoshoot ever, gotta top it in London! It was also my first time in Brooklyn, who knew it would be my future home?!

FEB.

My fashion month approach the previous year had been shakey but this month I really nailed the perfect way to bring the best news to you. Check out one of my favorite articles ever called “College Students React to NYFW.” This was also my last fashion month while blogging on the sidelines!

My families move to California created a new opportunity to spend time with family and gave me a new location to share blogging content with you guys.

APR.

My first official brand partnership was this month with F.H. Wadsworth. I’m so thankful to have met and worked with this team and I made a great friend out of this partnership; Soni from Coney!

MAY.

Moved to Brooklyn and found my home in the craziest city ever.

JUNE.

I am so honored to have work with my favorite brand of all time 3.1 Phillip Lim. I kicked off my internship this month and had such a good time.

JULY.

I made sooo many amazing friends during this part of the summer! Shoutout to Amanda, Venesa, Dalia, Devon, Lauren, Mya and everyone else!!

AUG.

LF! First ever adult job (besides my internships) and I loved the brand and my coworkers.

SEPT.

NYFW is when I finally felt like a professional fashion blogger. Blogging is my favorite hobby but it’s also my dream job and getting to NYFW was a huge milestone for me.

OCT.

Getting involved with LiketoKnow.it was a great decision because it made it much easier to let you guys find out about brands I am wearing. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the service, all you have to do is sign up and when you like some of my photos you will receive links to shop the products I’m wearing. Also, if you download the app you can screenshot my look and shop it that way too.

Chicago Fashion Week was such a fun way to bond with my Fashion Club of Notre Dame friends and support the local fashion community of my college town.

DEC.

This month I did something I never have. I took a break from blogging. I have been posting on average 5 times a week for the past year. I love love love what I do but sometimes it can be stressful to always be ready to shoot for Instagram. I drive myself crazy by checking notifications and worrying about my photos not being good enough. I took my first break during my trip to LA and while visiting my hometown in Michigan. It was such a great choice and I’m glad to be back in the game.

JAN.

I changed my Instagram name! I realized my account became less about the blogging part of my life and more about sharing my world with you and sharing my personal style. I want to eventually get into music so I decided to grow my account with a new handle. Now you can find me as @SiierraMayhew!

I am soooo ready to start my 3rd year of Style in the Way all across Europe!
