In 1950, Tony Bennett sang, “she wore blue velvet,” for the first time. The amount of times this song has been covered is proof that velvet is a timeless fabric material. After reading about velvet from 3 or 4 different publications this week, I wanted to center this blog post around a velvet piece. Velvet suiting and shoes are predicted to be all the rage this fall!

Another trend that recently re-emerged is the handkerchief. I love the one I am wearing, by Dresshirt, because the words “General Admission” are embroidered onto it. I think the embroidery puts a modern spin on a classic piece! When you order from Dresshirt you can have whatever words you’d like embroidered on your scarf. My dog loved this piece as well, lol.
