I seriously can’t believe it’s already April. We are finally at the peak of spring! This year has gone by faster than ever and we are already almost halfway through. Spring goes by faster than light so we only have a few weeks left to show off spring colors and tones. I have been pulling a lot of casual spring outfits that I have been shopping from or using for inspiration. I want to use this blog post to share with you the types of outfits that I love for spring.
But first, let’s talk. Spring is the hardest season to dress for. Some may say that it is winter, but I disagree. Once spring starts, it’s unclear whether or not it’s time to bring out spring looks. The trauma of dressing for winter often leaves me in a state of a brain freeze for a few weeks. I don’t know what to do with myself! And it seems that a lot of people don’t either. I always have brainstorm sessions with some friends as we try to tackle the new weather. The best way to dress for spring is really to look for inspiration from a few people to get excited about the new season.
When it’s spring, the first step to dressing for it is changing up your color palette. Casual spring outfits can work for warm or cold weather if the color tones are right. I like to start off by still dressing for the cold and wearing more pinks, blues, yellows, and pastel tones. I just made an order that involved a green and white dress, purple bag, blue denim skirt, and a light green sweater. Seeing all of those tones together in my cart at the end of shopping got me really excited to rock those spring colors!
The next step is also pretty simple and it is to layer, layer, layer. In the summer, you will be baring your skin so this is the time to be flirty and cover up just a little bit. I was able to do this (as seen below) by wearing this summer dress with a winter sweater. My ideal combination for casual spring outfits is a light colored sweater over a skirt or dress. You can stay warm during the times of day that aren’t so sunny while also reflecting the season around you.

So there’s another inspiration roundup! Casual spring outfits like this should last you the whole season. Spring always comes so late and goes by insanely fast. Lucky for us, it’s finally here.
